AI Lead - Finance

This is a hands-on, individual contributor role focused on turning a Finance AI roadmap into practical, working solutions. You will translate Finance process pain points into trusted AI-enabled workflows and automations that improve how Finance operates day to day.

Working closely with Finance stakeholders, Technology, Data and Analytics teams, you will lead priority AI and automation use cases from concept through to production, ensuring solutions are scalable, well-governed and embedded with the right controls from the outset.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of Finance AI and automation use cases, from design through to production and optimisation

• Run tests and make judgement calls on workflow bottlenecks and whether traditional automation or modern AI solutions are needed

• Build, refine and maintain AI agents and workflows using Microsoft tools, including Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Apps and where appropriate, frontier models.

• Partner with Technology, Data, Analytics and central AI teams on repeatable processes with consideration to governance, controls and auditability

• Support the ongoing development of Finance AI frameworks, processes and ways of working

About you:

You are a delivery-focused problem solver, who's happy to own processes from ideation and hypothesis testing through to production and optimisation. You are comfortable working with ambiguity and are happy to evolve alongside the business.

Key requirements:

• Proven experience assessing AI use cases and delivering solutions into production.

• A baseline understanding of Finance processes such as reporting, reconciliation, budgeting, general ledger, P&L etc

• Ability to understand, transform and synthesise data both in traditional data warehousing environments (Azure, SQL, Snowflake) and map dataflows in low-code tools like Alteryx

• Experience building AI and automation solutions, ideally using Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio and Power Automate

• Capability to work autonomously and with miminal supervision in a newly created role

• Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust, explain solutions clearly and drive adoption with Finance users

• Genuine interest in emerging AI capabilities and how they can create business value
