Shore is one of Australia’s leading independent schools, known for academic excellence, authentic Christian faith, and the spirit of belonging that defines our community. Our staff play a vital role in nurturing this environment and supporting students and families throughout their journey at the School.
This is a dynamic, varied position for a theatre professional who enjoys both high-level technical delivery and working with young people. You’ll take the lead on technical operations, specialising in either lighting or sound, while contributing to set construction, venue management and the smooth running of performances and events.
No two days are the same: one moment you may be programming a lighting state or mixing sound, the next guiding students backstage or preparing the venue for a major School or community event.
To be successful, you will have:
- A genuine passion for theatre and live performance, with professional experience in a performing arts or events environment
- Strong technical skills in either lighting or sound, and the confidence to apply them in live productions
- Practical experience with set construction and backstage operations, working safely and collaboratively
- Enjoyment in working with young people, including guiding and supporting students and casual crew
- Clear, respectful communication skills and a calm, solutions-focused approach
- An understanding of workplace health and safety in theatre and live event settings
- A willingness to contribute positively to Shore’s supportive, values-led School community
